Bolton is friendly town full of character in Greater Manchester, England. It’s ideally located close to the scenic West Pennine Moors on the edge of stunning countryside and just a short journey to Manchester city centre.
Bolton is the largest town in Greater Manchester and one of the largest in the United Kingdom. It is approximately 50 square miles (140 square kilometres) and as of 2024, the population stood at 298,903.
We’re a town steeped in history and culture, with stunning architecture which has helped us achieve the status of ‘Hollywood of the North’ being used as the backdrop for famous TV productions such as Peaky Blinders, The Ipcress File, Passenger and A Gentleman in Moscow.
We also have an array of green spaces, including our parks and gardens. We also have an amazing events calendar each year, including the Bolton Food and Drink Festival which attracts over 500,000 each year, IRONMAN weekend and the Right to Roam festival.
