On Sunday 1 August 2010 Bolton is proud to host the Ironman UK Triathlon. Come and watch 1,400 athletes swim 2.4 miles in open water, cycle 112 miles around the Lancashire Countryside and run a 26.2 mile marathon, finishing in Bolton for a spectacular end to this gruelling event. This year's Bolton Food and Drink Festival takes place between Friday 27 and Monday 30 August 2010. The highlight of the Festival is celebrity chefs The Hairy Bikers, Gino D'Acampo and James Martin who are all cooking live in the Rangemaster Cookery Theatre on Victoria Square in Bolton town centre. Tickets are just £5 each and include a recipe card. Please note that tickets must be booked in advance.
