Bolton Museum and Aquarium

Explore the new galleries including Bolton's Egypt which draws on the town's longstanding association with Egyptology. Bolton's Egypt features a walk-through replica of the tomb of the ancient pharaoh Thutmose III. The exhibition features over 2,000 artefacts from Bolton's significant collection. The new gallery is joined by Bolton's Art, a showcase of the finest works in the museum's collection and Bolton's Nature, an exploration of natural history. The museum also has one of the finest displays of Egyptology outside of London, an Art Gallery and the only public aquarium in Greater Manchester. Free entry to the public. Guided tours available.
