Come along to our card making group every Monday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm at Westhoughton Library. Light refreshments served. £1 costs to cover materials and refreshments no need to book.

The museum’s art collection is represented in a new exhibition, on the lower ground floor.

Entitled Making Landscape, the exhibition features a selection from 1778 – 2016, including stunning 18th century watercolours to contemporary photographs.

Animals and Us exhibition

A new interactive, family exhibition is now open at Bolton Museum – with a tiny mouse as star of the show.

Leopold, the inquisitive mouse, has been designed by Chorlton illustrator Anna Violet and is the mascot for Animals and Us.

He will guide visitors through the exhibition, showing them how all animals – from insects to elephants – are an important part of our everyday lives.
