Paul was born in Farnworth in 1960 and later studied at Bolton Community College. Most famous for his culinary expertise, owning a total of 11 restaurants in and around the North West, an outside catering arm and cooking school, Paul came back to his Bolton roots to open the Olive Press restaurant in October 2005. He’s put the big light on for Bolton
Name: Peter Kay
DOB: 1973
Town: Daubhill
Born 2 July 1973 in Daubhill, he later attended Mount St. Joseph High School. His first job was as a paperboy, delivering the Bolton Evening News, followed by a variety of other jobs with local employers which Peter claims inspired him in much of his comedy writing, taking the charm of Boltonians to the nation. Peter now lives in Ainsworth and Bolton’s Albert Halls was the only choice of location for the second hit DVD of his stand-up show. Peter is a typical Boltonian: down-to-earth, with a sense of humour and tells it how it is and has truly put Bolton on the map.
